They WERE on radio in the 30's {thru into the fifties}, but were originally played by Jim & Marion Jordan. & Harold Peary, who plays Mayor Latrivia in a couple episodes here, Played their neighbor "Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve", & went on to get his own radio show "The Great Gildersleeve", later on radio, the character of Gildersleeve was done by Willard Waterman, who sounded so much like harold peary, it was often hard to tell the difference. Enjoy.

Incorrect Title
The title of this episode, first aired on 9-22-1959 is "The Shooting Gallery", not "The Dance". I've read some of the reviews by all the 1950's TV aficionados, on a lot of 1950's TV programming on this website. All I can say is the absolute worst that the 1950's had to offer, is better than the best stable garbage that's on TV today.
I'm 60 and we had 2 TV channels. No video games, no parents to kiss our butts, and few toys. But we had a helluva imagination and we appreciated what we had. Children and even young adults today don't appreciate how good they have it. Bunch of Nielsen wannabees!

Fibber McGee and Molly
I had never seen this show. I heard of them as a child when my grandmother would mention them. That was in the 60s. I thought they were on the radio in the 30s. I am so happy to see old shows from the 50s I would never be able to see anywhere else. It makes me feel connected to my childhood.
This show was par for the 50s course, typical sit com. Not great, but nice to watch.
